Zang Toi's ode to the glamorous '60s in Staad was as much a celebration of beautiful women as it was a tribute to the era. Over-the-top updos, red lips and smoky eyes played up the beauty of his sirens, helping to complete his vision of unapologetic opulence. No ironic greasy hair or nude lips here, the message instead was non-stop va-va-voom.
To bring to life this decadent period, he offered crimson lingerie-inspired gowns, white furs and plunging necklines. For the working woman, there were sleek buttonless suits. Not to be outdone was a saturated red and fuchsia abstract print that turned up on several pieces.
We would love to see model Petra Nemcova, who sat front row, bring this beauty to life at a red carpet event.
